Atelier Haefeli Pty. Ltd. is a small architectural practice in Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Maintaining this scale of practice ensures that our Clients always receive the attention of the Principals.

Projects range from one off houses and alterations to multi residential and mixed use developments mostly in environmentally sensitive areas.

The partners, Linda Haefeli from Sydney and Rolf Haefeli from Switzerland have both worked in Europe before returning to Sydney and establishing their own practice in 1990.

Experiences overseas with architects such as Frei Otto and Ricardo Bofill (Barcelona) helped form our architectural perspectives and a more open approach to design; encouraging Innovation and integration rather than following fashionable trends.

Few buildings survive the test of time. Durability of materials and adaptability to changing user requirements form an essential part of environmentally conscious design.

Sustainability ideas have always been a core part of our design philosophy. Correctly locating and detailing to promote ESD principles shape the architecture.
